Pussy Reverence
Pussy is one of the most powerful words in the English language.
It tends to be used in one of 2 ways…
1.To promote sexual desire and lust, not usually in a sexy Goddess way, but in a way that hurts, undignifies, and humiliates a woman because she is seen as a walking piece of meat to pound or to ‘get some’.
Or
2. Pussy is also used as an insult to men. There is no quicker way to rob a man of his masculinity than to call him a pussy, letting him know that his reputation is at stake.
If we go back in time as young girls, we were taught to call our pussy a flower, cookie, noo-noo, privates, vagina (a clinical term that is physiologically incorrect), and for some of us which is the saddest of all is being taught to call it nothing at all.
”When we have no common language to describe what is most feminine and scared about us, we have no way to locate and own our power as women, or the fact of where all life comes from.” – Mama Gena
By repressing the importance and sacred power of pussy leaves women feeling less than, undervalued, less inclined to ask for what they want or tone down their sensuality and sexuality.
No one has to teach us this, it is so ingrained in cultural behaviour that words aren’t even required.
We are taught to dial down or turn off our strong emotions, to keep ourselves small, turn off our sensuality, be the good girl, taught that if we dress a certain way or sleep with multiple men that there may be consequences.
This turns off our power, reduces our capacity to experience greater pleasure, keeps us small and fearful of expressing who we truly are.
Pleasure in all forms is our birthright, our strong emotions are a natural part of the human experience, our sensuality is part of our aliveness, our self-expression shows the world who we are in our authenticity.
PUSSY IS THE NAME OF THE SOURCE OF OUR FEMININE POWER.
So isn’t it time we start having pussy reverence?
I say fuck yes!
It’s time we turn our power back on and reconnect to our pussies.
Pussy is the connection to your life force, your voice, your inherent radiance and your internal power.
When you turn your pussy on you are connecting to your life force and divinity.
You don’t need anyone else or anything to turn on the power within pussy, it is all already there, waiting to be ignited.
Turning your power back on and getting intimate with your pussy will change your life in the best possible way.
If pussy is a word you hate, dislike, or makes you feel uncomfortable, I invite you to look into where your beliefs about pussy came from or what you were taught about pussy from your parents, caregivers, school, church or men in your life.
I invite you to shift the societal and patriarchal conditioning around this word used in a salacious or insulting way to describe the most sacred part of a woman to it being a word used to beautifully express the source of your feminine power.
Allow yourself to speak it until it rolls off your tongue with pure reverence.
Viva la Pussy! Viva la Pussy! Viva la Pussy!
